UV Light Air Purification
reduce bacteria and viruses' ability from spreading indoors
Step up your home and business defences
Bring the germ-killing power of the sun inside your home and clean the air in ways filtration alone can’t. UV Air Purification treatments are excellent tools in stepping up the protection your home or business might need.
UV Air Purifier
The air we breathe outdoors is purified and controlled naturally by the sun. A spectrum or wavelength of Ultraviolet (UV) light blocks the excessive growth of reproductive microorganisms that can cause health problems from the air we breathe.
The sun that brings us daylight every day also delivers UVC energy that protects us from germs, bacteria, viruses, and other destructive bioaerosols outdoors. Installed on your HVAC distribution system, it boasts an intensely effective germicidal lamp.
The lamp radiates a high output of germ-killing ultraviolet light in your ductwork, imitating the air purifying intensity of the sun that treats your indoor air. The germicidal bandwidth C (UVC) measures 200 to 280 nanometers are effective at killing germs and bacteria in your home and will significantly reduce harmful bioaerosols (viruses, fungi, mold, and allergens).
How are Bioaerosols Eliminated?
The high output UVC energy will break down the electron bonds of an organic molecule. This intense energy will penetrate an airborne microorganism causing cellular and genetic damage that either destroys the microorganism or renders it harmless by robbing it of the ability to reproduce.

Why Air Purification?
In Calgary, we seal our homes and buildings very tightly to save on energy consumption. We try our best not to spend money and natural resources on heating and cooling air, so this ‘air’ escapes outside.
A major downside to this system is not being able to bring in enough fresh outside air to lower the concentrations of biological and chemical contaminants within the home. The air we breathe in our homes can be up to 100
times more polluted than outdoor air, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. Ultraviolet (UV) light technology enables you to have whole-house air treatment energy, like the sun, to improve your home’s indoor air quality. Battle microorganisms with highly intensive ultraviolet “C” (UVC) germicidal irradiation.
The sad reality is that in Calgary where outdoor air quality is so high, often your indoor air quality at home can be pretty low and in cases the most contaminated environment you could be in. These airborne contaminants often include viruses, bacteria, mold, chemicals, and others.
COVID-19 NOTE
Air purifiers inside HVAC cannot disinfect surfaces such as door handles and light switches, which are common disease transmission paths. Given that the Coronavirus can survive several days on a surface, good hygiene practices and frequent wash of hands continue to be the safest way to protect ourselves against any airborne or surface contaminants that can be introduced by other occupants and dispersed by the HVAC system in the house.
In other words, a powerful UVC air purifier can reduce the possibility of spreading contaminants through the HVAC system, but it does not eliminate the necessity of safe hygiene practices.
Air filtering is not air purification
In Alberta, all of us use air filters in our home ventilation system to remove harmful particulates from the air.
However, these do not remove biological and chemical contaminants such as mold, bacteria, viruses, allergens, and a host of other airborne pollutants that are so small that they pass through even the highest efficiency filters like sand through a tennis racket.
Air Purification
Air Purification is the process of removing these harmful biological and chemical particles from the air. Through a host of filters and treatments, these air purification filters stop the larger pathogens and destroy smaller ones like viruses and bacteria.
