Other interesting technical information
This specialty filter utilizes a tested and approved configuration of alternate Polarity layers of electrically charged nylons and nylon Six filtering media. Attracts and captures airborne particles 0.3 microns in size and larger. One micron is I /25,000 of an inch in size.
American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (A.S.H.R.A.E.) 52-1 tested over 80% dust stoppage with ultra-low airflow resistance, initial .08 inches WG. water gauge. The top six throw-away pleated filters have initial resistances of (1).14 w.g. (2).l 5w.g. (3).18w.g. (4).20 w.g (5).21 w.g. (6).23 w.g. High air flow restriction increases heating bills and increases strain on equipment, motors, etc. Test results have proven a 10% restrictive filter resulted in 11 % more gas consumed!
