Microban™ Carpet Sanitizer

Mircoban was developed in 1962 to quickly and effectively disinfect hospital operating rooms.  Mircoban™ has since then been used widely throughout residential, commercial, institutional and industrial properties. This product has an active ingredient that neutralizes, reduces, and controls the growth of microbial bacteria and fungi ( including black mold ).   Unlike chlorine bleaches, the Microban™ Carpet Sanitizer formula is pH balanced and is non-corrosive.

When applied to surface, Microban has the ability to eliminate 99% of viruses and bacteria

A dirty, dusty carpet will throw up particles every time it is walked upon, causing many health conditions such as, allergies, asthma, bronchitis, etc.  Disease causing bacteria, fungi and viruses that can cause illness and threaten our health can also be found in your carpets.  It is well documented that mold, mildew, fungi and other bacteria cause materials to degrade and deteriorate.  This destructive nature of these microorganisms also release a very unpleasant odor.  Microban™ will help neutralize not only the bacteria but any smell associated with it as well.

Microban™ Carpet Sanitizer is applied after your carpets are professionally cleaned.  It is non staining and dries rapidly.  The quick action Microban™ kills hundreds of different strains of odor-causing bacteria and mold to improve indoor air quality and maintain that new carpet appeal.  Microban™ Carpet Sanitizer is highly recommended in homes that have or are prone to accidental stains, pets and children.

The Alternative? – Bleach

Bleach was an older method used to disinfect surfaces.  To give it the benefit of the doubt, bleach was effective at removing bacteria and mold for the time.  The downside to bleach would be the fact that it can ruin fabrics, rugs, carpets and the limited effectiveness.  Bleach also emits toxic fumes and can be dangerous if not fatal when mixed with other chemicals.   Microban™ was developed to act like a bleach without the harmful added effects.  Unlike bleach, Microban™ will not damage or discolor fabrics while providing the deep down cleaning you expect.
